Third Annual Chili Cookoff - Advocates for Children CASA

October 9, 2024 (Denver, CO) – CSL West and Drexel Metals are proud to announce the success of their third annual chili cookoff, held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Drexel Metals' Denver location. This fun and friendly event brought together customers and industry partners for a spirited competition, all in support of Advocates for Children CASA, serving at-risk youth in the community.

The cookoff, which saw an impressive turnout, raised $$21,678 for Advocates for Children CASA. The funds will help further CASA’s mission of providing a voice for vulnerable children and ensuring they have a safe and nurturing environment.

“We sincerely share our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had a role in our event, including our sponsors, individual donors, teams, and everyone else who made this event come together,” said Brandon Dawson, President, CSL West. “Your generosity and support allow us to make a real impact in the community.”

Guests enjoyed an afternoon filled with delicious chili, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Participants had the chance to vote for their favorite chili, with Christian Brothers Automotive out of Parker, CO crowned as the 2024 Chili Champion.

Advocates for Children CASA tirelessly works to ensure that children who have experienced abuse or neglect have a dedicated advocate in the court system, giving them the chance to thrive despite difficult circumstances. All proceeds from the cookoff will go directly toward funding CASA’s efforts to provide trained volunteers to support these children.
